  1. Wednesdays Live Ball Clinic

    Live Ball is a fast-paced, action-packed tennis drill session focused on fitness, fun, and constant play. Often without traditional serves. Participants are fed balls by a coach, play continuous points, and rotate in and out of "champion" positions against other players. The goal is to improve skills like reflexes, teamwork, and court positioning in a dynamic, social, and high-energy environment. 

    Members sign up 8 days in advance. Non-members 3 days in advance.

    We are excited to offer a UTR Flex League at Blackmore Tennis Club, providing a unique opportunity to play verified matches with other club members.

    Our indoor season Friday Singles House League is a competitive league with a winner determined at the end of the session by calculating the number of wins an individual earns.

    Players compete in singles matches every Friday. Scores are reported to the league organizer after each match.

  4. Thursday Mixed Doubles House League Division 1 & 2 Indoor Season (October 2025 - May 2026)

    Our Indoor season Thursday Mixed Doubles House League is a competitive league with a winner determined at the end of the session based on win/loss results. 

    Players compete in Doubles matches every Wednesday. Scores are reported to the league organizer after each match. 

    Each league will have a prize for the winners at the end of the session. 

    The league runs from Oct 2025 - April 2026 Thursday Nights 7 - 9pm and 9 - 11pm (division 1 and 2 alternate start times each week)

    This activity is designed for players interested in mild competition. This league is open to members and non members and is run through the Parks and Recreation Department of Richmond Hill.

    Players will be organized into two groups on the first day of the league. Half of the participants will start at 7:00pm and the other half at 8:30pm.

  7. Round Robin Schedule (Indoor season 2025/2025)

    Our Round Robins are a great way to play semi-competitive doubles matches and meet new players! Players will rotate partners on a fixed schedule every half hour. Please ensure you are registering for the correct level - if you are unsure, contact markus@tennisclubs.ca for an assessment.

  8. Ladies Daytime Intercounty Teams (Indoor Season 2025/2026)

    Tennis Clubs of Canada league (TCC) is a competitive league that involves clubs in mostly York region 

    We will be entering teams in both the A and B divisions in this league.  

    B1 division (match play Thursdays) Players should be available for the entire day as matches can start as early as 10am or as late as 1pm)

    Indoor East is a competitive league that plays throughout the GTA. This league involves more travel. 

    We have teams in the Premiere 1 and Premiere 2 divisions  (match play Wednesdays)

    Our Indoor Season runs from October 1st through April 30th.

     

    Our Outdoor Season runs from May 1st through September 30th. There are no court fees during the Outdoor Season.

  2. BOOKING PRIVILEGES

    Full year members can book up to 8 days in advance at Blackmore Tennis Club and up to 7 days in advance at all other clubs affiliated with Tennis Clubs of Canada.

  3. BENEFITS

    Members may also join any of our programs such as Round Robins, Intercounty Leagues, House Leagues and Private Lessons.

    A Non Member can accompany a member a maximum of 4 times--a maximum of 4 visits to the club.  A guest fee will apply on each visit.

We are pleased to inform you that all junior and adult programs at Blackmore Tennis Club are brought to you by the Noble Tennis School, founded in 2003 by TCC's own Tony Roth (Kingston's Racquets Director).

 

The mission of the School is to provide a perfected environment for teaching, learning and playing the great game of tennis.
This environment is equal parts enthusiasm, organization and expertise. The NTS provides junior and adult programs stretching from introductory to international levels, and a uniquely effective methodology, developed over decades.

  • We employ progressive tennis equipment, including modified balls, courts and racquets to make the game accessible 
  • 5 players per court 
  • We use a game-based approach so kids and adults learn simplified scoring, rules and etiquette of play, while developing their skills

JUNIOR PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS

 

 

  • All Stars and Master Class
  • For players looking to pursue tennis at the competitive level. 
  • 2 classes minimum per week
  • Fitness included
  • Players are eligible to join our junior intercounty Eagles Team. Matches are Saturdays 
  • Students are encouraged to play in monthly OTA sanctioned tournaments.

Markus' passion for tennis is as strong as the first day he started training at Blackmore over 25 years ago!

Wondi has experience playing in multiple ITF tournaments, junior Davis cups, and several all African games over the course of his competitive career. As an avid player and coach, Wondi brings over 15 years of coaching experience to our team.

Robert is a former NCAA and Future Tour competitor. Robert has over 12 years of coaching experience and is a Mental Performance Consultant. Roberts unique blend of skills help our athletes develop both physically and mentally, aiding them in achieving their goals on and off the court.

Lionel is a passionate tennis player and coach and has over 15 years of coaching experience in a variety of sports. His motto is Kaizen, the Japanese principle of everyday improvement. Lionel, being a varsity athlete himself, understands the importance of a quality coach.
